The Trusted by WSC badge signifies that a tool, solution, or service has undergone comprehensive evaluation by the Web Standards Commission and demonstrates a commitment to helping organizations achieve and maintain both privacy compliance (CCPA, CPRA, state privacy laws) and digital accessibility compliance (WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
Our Dual Certification Process
The WSC certification process evaluates both privacy and accessibility practices through expert review with the goals of:
- Privacy Compliance: Ensuring alignment with CCPA, CPRA, and state privacy laws including proper consent management, data rights handling, and opt-out mechanisms
- Data Protection: Verifying appropriate data collection practices, secure storage, and transparent privacy policies

When a partner tool displays the WSC Trusted Certification Badge, WSC attests to the following for both privacy and accessibility:
- WSC Dual Evaluation is complete. The tool has undergone our comprehensive privacy and accessibility evaluation process.
- Privacy Compliance is verified. The partner implements CCPA, CPRA, and applicable state privacy law requirements.
- Accessibility Testing is ongoing with continuous monitoring of WCAG and ADA standards.
- Consumer Rights are supported. The partner provides mechanisms for data access, deletion, and opt-out requests.
- Remediation & Validation is ongoing. The partner actively works to address identified privacy and accessibility issues.
- Issue reporting is supported. Users can report privacy concerns and accessibility barriers for prioritized resolution.
